On a hot morning in late August, six good samaritans from the Poquoson Kiwanis Club began painting the museum farm house foundation and front porch in preperation for the museum's August 26th Grand Opening. This prestigious group of handimen were Richard (Dick) Long, John Ambrose, Mike Stinson, Ken Wissinger, Jim Harney and Mac Crane.
All of these men are retired Air Force officers and the Poquoson Museum membership applauds them for their dedicated service to our country and for helping the Museum prepare for its Grand Opening.
These dedicated club members worked into the early afternoon in the extreme heat and humidity to complete their task. When the job was done, the paint job definitely enhanced the appearance of the farm house.
The members of the Poquoson Museum wish to thank the Poquoson Kiwanis Club members for their loyal and continued support for the museum.
