Dear Members of the Great Class of 1980,

First, please note that this announcement contains a LOT of information. Please read this thoroughly and note the September 1st deadline. There will be no follow-up with people individually so PLEASE mark your calendar with this September 1st deadline. That said.........

The Reunion Committee has been hard at work since January planning a great weekend of fun events for our classmates, family and friends. We hope that everyone will be able to attend! Below you will find the information for the weekend with specific information regarding each event. Please decide on the events that you plan to attend and send your money in by the deadline. It is imperative that the deadline is met and we thank you in advance. EVEN IF YOU HAVE REPLIED TO EARLIER EMAILS REGARDING YOUR INTENTIONS TO ATTEND, YOU STILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE ATTACHED FORM AND MAIL IN YOUR MONEY. THIS IS THE OFFICIAL RESPONSE. The earlier requests were just to get an idea of how many people we could expect so that we could get a good idea of cost. To those of you who did reply earlier in the year, thanks! It was very helpful in planning and containing costs for our events.

***WE HAVE NEGOTIATED A SPECIAL RATE OF $94 PER NIGHT FOR BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS AT THE NEWPORT NEWS OMNI HOTEL. THEY ARE ALLOWING US TO RESERVE ROOMS AT THIS RATE UNTIL SEPTEMBER 20TH. MAKE SURE TO BOOK YOUR ROOM BEFORE SEPTEMBER 20TH IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO STAY AT THE OMNI. TO BOOK AT THIS RATE, PHONE THE NEWPORT NEWS OMNI AND STATE THAT YOU ARE A PART OF THE POQUOSON HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1980 30TH REUNION. THE PHONE NUMBER IS (757) 873-6664.***

Friday, October 22
What: Homecoming Football Game Pre-Game Party
Where: Home of Penny Wolford 77 Hudgins Road

What: Homecoming Football Game (we will have a section reserved for our class)
Where: Football Field

What: Post-game party
Where: Anna's Pizza in Poquoson
Time: Directly after football game (we have a reserved room)

Saturday, October 23rd
What: Golf Outing
Where: Cypress Creek, Smithfield Va
Cost: $55 person includes Boxed Lunch
Who: Organized by Henry Ayer.....when everyone has sent in their golf money by the deadline, Henry will contact all golfers with specifics.

What: Dinner/Dance from 7-1
Where: Newport News Omni
Cost: $60 per person (cash bar)
This cost includes a fabulous dinner, great dance tunes, a customized class video presentation, reunion program w/ classmate directory, awards and much, much more! A few surprises, too!

Sunday, October 24th
What: Casual Luncheon and Social at Poquoson Yacht Club (Non-alcoholic beverages provided, alcohol is BYOB)
Time: 12-4
Cost: $10 per person*
* This event is open to classmates and any friends and family of our class. Feel free to pass the Yacht Club Social information on to anyone who you think would be interested in joining us. They simply need to complete the form, mark Yacht Club Social and send their money to Cindy by the deadline of September 1st.
